Job Description: Communications Assistant 

Full Time: 10am-6pm, (5 days a week) 

Salary: £26,000 

Contract:  Fixed Term  2-Month Fixed Term (September – October)

As our Communications Assistant, we’re looking for someone who is: 

Great at communicating because (1) that’s marketing, and (2) we talk to a lot of people.

A positive team player, you’ll be helping our team across different projects. 

Culturally curious. You will have an interest in researching cultural and consumer trends and be a fantastic storyteller and natural connector. If you know about any one of these cultural scenes in the UK – art, photography, music, travel, film, food etc. – you’d be a great fit. 

Organised and analytical as we produce events and report on media coverage to our wide range of clients.

Creative. You will be full of innovative ideas for how we can talk about Margaret, our clients and collaborators across the different social channels. 

Interested in marketing, communications and social media. You will have an understanding of and the enthusiasm to learn more about the media landscape, video content creation and design. 

As our Communications Assistant, you will help keep our team running. Your general responsibilities are to: 

Provide admin support for the team across client status reports, monthly coverage reports, update emails, coverage and influencer tracking

Organise itineraries for press trips and arranging / hosting media visits

Issuing press event invitation and managing RSVPs, plus supporting onsite where needed

Support us in producing events by coordinating with our suppliers (e.g. photographers, design suppliers, and event staff) 

Take an active part in brainstorms and idea generation for our clients, working with our team to generate exciting, engaging and on brand ideas for pitches and proposals

Contribute to and create excellent, visual led presentations, trend reports and proposals for clients 

Help to pull together Margaret’s regular newsletter and cultural trend reports

Attend Margaret and industry events and meeting new media contacts

Be on hand to help out at other Margaret events where needed
