ABOUT THIS ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Social Media Manager to join our cultural communications company on a 6-month contract, 2–3 days per week, supporting a leading global fashion brand. This role will focus on driving the brand’s social media presence in the UK, ensuring alignment with both the global strategy and the London Gen Z audience, while maintaining the brand’s authentic voice rooted in music and culture.

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for strategy, content planning, publishing coordination, and reporting, providing ongoing insights and actionable recommendations to optimise the brand’s social media impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Strategy & Consulting

Provide ongoing strategic guidance using monthly social media insights to inform content direction.

Consult with the internal team to ensure the brand’s social presence and personality align with global strategy and London audience.

Advise the client team on timing and approach for content publishing to maximise engagement.

 

Content Planning & Publishing Coordination

Develop monthly content calendars and publishing plans with ready-to-publish copy and actionable recommendations.

Coordinate the delivery of finalised content for posting across clients channels.

Share insights from organic content performance with the client’s internal paid social team to support campaign optimisation.

 

Reporting & Analysis

Compile and review monthly performance data to deliver actionable insights, identify trends, and recommend optimisations.

Prepare and attend key meetings

Manage client liaison including emails, approvals, edits, and scheduling.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

Proven experience (2+ years) managing social media for global or culturally influential brands, preferably in fashion or lifestyle sectors.

Experience of working in an agency so understand client management systems and ways of working. Able to confidently update clients with analytics and recommended next steps.

Strong understanding of the UK social media landscape and engagement tactics.

Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage content calendars, deadlines, and multiple stakeholders.

Analytical mindset with experience interpreting social media performance data – including Meta Business Suite

Confident client-facing communicator with experience liaising across internal and external teams.

 

CONTRACT DETAILS:

6-month fixed-term contract

2–3 days per week (flexible)

Fee rate – £250-300 per day depending on level of experience
