VENICE ART BIENNALE
INTERNATIONAL PR CAMPAIGNS FOR MALTA PAVILION
BRIEF
Lead the international publicity strategy and campaign delivery for Arts Council Malta’s presentation at the Venice Art Biennale, supporting the visibility of Malta’s contemporary artists and cultural ambitions on a global stage.
IDEA
Margaret has worked with Arts Council Malta on five Venice Art Biennale presentations, developing international campaigns that combine strategic PR, media relations, events and partnerships.
This year Margaret worked on the international communications campaign for ‘No Need to Sparkle; Experiments in Love and Revolution’ including PR strategy and campaign delivery, a press trip to Malta, press events management in Venice and advertising consultancy/management.
RESULTS
The campaign helped bring Malta’s contemporary art scene to an international audience, generating coverage across leading art, culture and national publications including The Guardian, The Times, Art Review, Le Quotidien de l’Art and The Art Newspaper. Alongside editorial coverage, Margaret managed targeted advertising partnerships with platforms including Frieze and designboom, helping position the pavilion within the wider global art conversation.
Our ongoing partnership with Arts Council Malta reflects the impact of this work: since 2017, Margaret has become a trusted international communications partner for Malta’s cultural projects, extending beyond the Venice Biennale to include additional pavilion projects, including Wales in Venice and the Lofoten International Art Festival’s Venice presentations.
This relationship has also led to Margaret becoming the UK/EU PR agency for Malta’s Mediterrane Film Festival, further expanding our work with Malta’s cultural institutions.
